Director and founder of La Campistany


 

I am a circus maker, director, and performer. I am a Dutch-based artist, originally from Catalonia. My work has a strong theatrical focus, crafting stage worlds where circus, text, and imagery intersect while exploring dramaturgy, character, and visual composition.

Throughout 2025 and 2027, I am developing my Nieuwe Makers trajectory, supported by the Fonds Podium Kunsten in collaboration with Festival Circolo (NL) and Circuswerkplaats Dommelhof (BE). The first work from this trajectory, Cirquemétrage, premiered at Festival Circolo and Theater op de Markt and is touring internationally. The second creation, VIP will première in 2027.

My creations include the upcoming collective creation Il Va pleuvoir, co-created with Collectif IVP and produced by Galapiat Cirque, set to premiere in 2027; PELUDA, shortlisted for Circus Next in 2023; and It Happens, touring across Europe since 2019 and recipient of a Zirkòlika Prize.

 

I am co-director of the company Rita and Rita and have collaborated with artists and companies including Circus Ronaldo (BE), Circus I Love You (SE), and Meyer-Chaffaud (NL). In parallel with my artistic work, I teach and mentor at Codarts Circus Arts, supporting students in their creative development and directing group creations.
